Pilot of Russian fighter was forced to abort a takeoff at Airshow China in Zhuhai

The pilot of Russian Su-27 fighter (Board number 20) from “Russian Knights” aerobatic team was forced to abort a takeoff at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, 35 miles (56 kilometers) west of Hong Kong.

That was reported by Marina Lystseva photographer.

Fighter jets should have done “rhomb” formation, also known as “Kubinka Diamond”. Kubinka Diamond formation typically consists of nine Su-27 and MiG-29 fighter jets.

The “Russian Knights” aerobatic team was created in 1991 as part of Russia’s then Air Force and is currently the only aerobatic display group to fly heavy Su-27 Flankers.

The 11th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition—known to most people simply as the Zhuhai Air Show—start November 1st and runs until November 6th, taking place at the China International Aviation Exhibition Center in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Seven hundred exhibitors from 42 countries and regions around the world will exhibit at the show, but all eyes will be on the latest Chinese aircraft and weapons.
