  • Leonardo DRS signed a contract with Chaiseri Defense Systems to provide Battle Management Systems for the Royal Thai Army’s Stryker vehicles.
  • The agreement includes integration support, operator training, and long-term sustainment managed locally by Chaiseri.

Leonardo DRS, Inc. announced it has signed a contract with Thailand-based Chaiseri Defense Systems to provide its advanced Battle Management System (BMS) and related integration support to the Royal Thai Army’s Stryker armored vehicle fleet.

According to a release from Leonardo DRS, the agreement expands the company’s footprint in Southeast Asia and strengthens its long-term partnership with Thailand. Under the contract, Leonardo DRS will deliver its combat-proven BMS technology, along with project management, engineering, and support services. Chaiseri will oversee local support tasks, including installation, system commissioning, operator training, and sustainment.

Company officials say the Leonardo DRS BMS solution integrates advanced tactical computing systems with a next-generation software suite that enables real-time situational awareness at the vehicle, command post, and brigade levels.

“This contract represents an important step in expanding local industrial participation and delivering long-term, advanced capability to the Royal Thai Army,” said Dennis Crumley, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Leonardo DRS Land Electronics. “We are proud to advance our partnership with Chaiseri with this important contract and look forward to future cooperation to support the national security needs of Thailand.”

Chaiseri Defense Systems also emphasized the value of the cooperation for Thailand’s domestic defense ecosystem.

“We are proud to strengthen our relationship with Leonardo DRS through this subcontract, supporting delivery of a world-class BMS capability for the Royal Thai Army,” said Chaiseri Managing Director Kan Koolihiran. “This partnership allows us to leverage our engineering expertise and local presence to sustain and expand these technologies across the Thai defense ecosystem — a win for Chaiseri, for our customer, and for Thailand’s growing defense industrial base.”

The new agreement builds on a teaming arrangement first signed in November 2024, aimed at enhancing domestic capabilities and delivering advanced mission systems to the Thai military.

Leonardo DRS says it is investing in the future of C4 and C5 systems, with a focus on next-generation tactical computing, AI-driven processing, and open architecture frameworks. These technologies are designed to enhance sensor integration, improve situational awareness, and reduce the cognitive load on operators. According to the company, its solutions align with the U.S. military’s evolving needs and are already deployed in various allied defense systems worldwide.
