Two German defense technology companies, STARK and Quantum Systems, have demonstrated a new integrated reconnaissance-strike capability in Ukraine, combining the VECTOR intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) drone with the VIRTUS precision strike system.
According to the companies, the concept allows operators to move from target identification to destruction within minutes, bridging the gap between surveillance and strike missions on the battlefield.
The firms released video footage showing the system in use in Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region. In the recording, the VECTOR drone detected and identified a target, which was then destroyed by the VIRTUS system.
The companies said the demonstration underscores the effectiveness of their collaboration in delivering what they describe as a scalable reconnaissance-strike solution tailored for modern combat environments.

In a statement, the companies said: “Our mission is clear: equip our partners on the front lines with a scalable Recce-Strike solution built for modern, multi-domain missions.”
Quantum Systems developed the VECTOR as a long-endurance ISR platform capable of real-time data collection, while STARK’s VIRTUS system provides precision strike capability. By linking the two, the companies intend to provide a modular solution that can be adapted to various operational needs, reducing the time between detection and engagement.
The firms emphasized that the system has already been tested under battlefield conditions. According to their joint announcement, the combination of VECTOR and VIRTUS represents not only a technical achievement but also a direct response to operational requirements in Ukraine.
The integration highlights a broader shift in warfare toward pairing advanced unmanned reconnaissance platforms with precision weapons. As noted by the companies, the capability provides commanders with the means to shorten decision-making cycles and act rapidly on actionable intelligence.
