Belgium sending soldiers and military vehicles to Lithuania

Belgium is deploying a hundred soldiers and 50 different military vehicles to the Baltic region near the Russian border as part of NATO agreement.

Over 100 Belgian soldiers with their weapons and about 50different military vehicles will be on this year Lithuania deployment of NATO forces in the forward battalion battle group a leading logistics group, which will be responsible for the rest of the battalion battle group for the forces.

Visiting Belgian forces based soldiers from the 18 th and 29 th Belgian Army Battalion, assigned to the medical and military police units.

Deployment of the first rotation period Lithuania Belgian soldiers will be stationed in Rukla Garrison, where, along with German, Dutch and Norwegian soldiers will take part in joint field at various levels in Tactical exercises Lithuanian military training areas.

The troops would contribute to NATO’s “deterrence” force against Russia, which is deploying combat battalions in the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as Poland.
