Belarus is studying the option of supplying  arms to Syria.

According to the French Newsletter “Intelligence online” in the material «Rencontres discrete en armememnt», Syria’s Ambassador in Belarus Bassam Abdul-Majid 11 April 2016 met with Defense Minister of Belarus Andrei Ravkov.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of regional security.

At the end of the meeting, Lt. Gen. Andrei Ravkov thanked Maj. Gen. Samer Arnus, military attache at the Syrian Embassy in Belarus, who was present at the meeting and who completes his diplomatic mission in Belarus, for his significant contribution to the development of cooperation between the defence ministries of the two countries.

Belarus may sell to Syria tanks, heavy armored vehicles, self-propelled artillery and ammunition
