According to the award notice, the work will take place in Huntsville, Alabama, a central hub for missile defense engineering and test operations. The performance period runs from October 2025 through October 2034, reflecting the scale and complexity of the planned test activities.

The contract was competitively procured through the Governmentwide Point of Entry system on SAM.gov, with three proposals submitted for evaluation. The Missile Defense Agency selected IERUS Technologies as the contractor for this effort. At the time of the award, the agency obligated $5,000,000 in Fiscal Year 2025 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) funds.

The agreement supports one of the core components of the U.S. missile defense enterprise: validating sensor performance across fielded and developmental radar systems. These radars serve as the backbone of detection, tracking, and engagement within the layered defense architecture that protects the United States, deployed forces, and allied partners.

The Missile Defense System incorporates a network of ground-based and sea-based radars that must be tested, evaluated, and integrated across multiple operational scenarios. The contract tasks IERUS Technologies with analyzing how individual radar platforms perform during integrated flight tests and major ground test events, including those involving new interceptors, emerging threats, and multi-domain sensor fusion.
