Canadian armored vehicle giant Roshel has released new video footage offering a rare look inside its production facilities, underscoring its growing role as a key supplier of advanced armored platforms to government agencies, law enforcement, and allied militaries around the world.
The company, headquartered in Ontario, operates more than 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space across facilities in Canada and the United States and employs over 400 specialists.
Roshel says it maintains a vertically integrated production process, designing and building every component in-house — from welding and mechanical systems to automotive, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies — in order to ensure quality and control at every stage.
With a production capacity of up to 140 vehicles per month and an average turnaround time of less than two weeks, Roshel has become one of North America’s most capable armored vehicle producers. The company’s product line extends beyond defense and security to commercial and cash-in-transit markets, delivering tailored armored solutions for a wide range of customers.
According to company data, Roshel’s Ontario plant produced 1,500 Senator armored vehicles in 2024 alone, with roughly half delivered to Ukraine under military assistance programs. Since 2022, more than 1,800 Roshel vehicles have been supplied to Ukrainian forces, where they are used for troop transport, medical evacuation, and logistics support in active combat zones.
Roshel’s flagship platforms — the Senator armored personnel carrier (APC) and mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle — are designed to meet strict NATO STANAG 4569 safety and protection standards and have been extensively tested in battlefield conditions. The company says these vehicles have “proven themselves as the most reliable in active battle zones and challenging environments,” offering protection and mobility in situations where survivability is paramount.
The newly released video highlights the company’s focus on vertical integration as a driver of quality and innovation. “Roshel is a fully vertically integrated manufacturer with production facilities in both Canada and the United States,” the video states. “From welding and mechanical to automotive, electric, and hydraulic systems, every element is meticulously designed and manufactured in-house.”
Roshel’s product portfolio includes light armored personnel carriers, mine-resistant vehicles, emergency response units, and medical evacuation platforms. All products undergo rigorous testing to meet the highest certification levels and are engineered for performance under extreme conditions.
The company’s approach is built not only on technology but also on human expertise. “At the heart of Roshel’s success is its people,” the video continues. “Significant investment is made into the workforce, recognizing that the true strength of the company lies in its team. This expertise drives innovation, allowing Roshel to offer advanced system integration and industry-unique products that set a new standard in the market.”
Roshel emphasizes that its mission is rooted in safety and reliability. The company says all its vehicles are “built for safety” and “engineered for excellence,” with each platform designed to save lives and protect those operating in hostile environments.
As global demand for armored vehicles continues to grow — driven by evolving security threats, ongoing conflicts, and the need to protect personnel in increasingly complex operational environments — Roshel’s vertically integrated model and rapid production capacity position it as a key supplier to allied nations and security agencies.
