Roshel develops low-cost light armored vehicle

Canadian armored vehicle manufacturer Roshel has reportedly developed a new low-cost, light armored vehicle aimed at meeting the growing demand for tactical vehicles, particularly in conflict zones like Ukraine.

While the company has yet to release detailed specifications, it has confirmed that more information will be provided after the completion of necessary tests.

The new vehicle is expected to complement Roshel’s existing Senator family of armored vehicles. Built on the platform of a civilian off-road vehicle, the lightweight utility vehicle is designed for low-risk tactical missions. Its key features include reduced weight and compact dimensions, making it highly maneuverable in various operational environments.

Potential clients, including Ukraine, are particularly interested in acquiring affordable, high-quality armored vehicles to support military operations. Ukraine, which remains engaged in a protracted conflict, has a pressing need for robust yet cost-effective solutions to enhance its tactical capabilities.

Despite its smaller size, the new vehicle offers advanced protection, with a turret that provides a high level of security for the gunner. This feature underscores Roshel’s commitment to combining affordability with effective defense capabilities.

Roshel’s reputation for producing reliable armored vehicles, such as the widely used Senator, positions the company as a key player in the international defense market, especially as global demand for tactical vehicles continues to grow.
