Saudi Arabia orders additional 17 Sikorsky UH-60M utility helicopters

Saudi Arabian National Guard and nine Royal Saudi Land Forces Airborne Special Security Forces have ordered a seventeen  Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters.

According to the US Department of Defense (DoD), the Sikorsky was awarded a $193,850,000 firm-fixed-price foreign military sales (Saudi Arabia) contract for eight Saudi Arabian National Guard and nine Royal Saudi Land Forces Airborne Special Security Forces unique UH-60M utility helicopters.

All 17 utility helicopters will be delivered in a “unique configuration”, according to the contract notification.

Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2022.

UH-60M is designed to support combat assault, combat search and rescue, command and control, external lift, firefighting, medical evacuation, VIP transport and armed missions.
