Minotor-Service unveils new 4×4 multi-purpose amphibious armoured vehicle at MILEX 2017

Belarus’ Minotor-Service unveiled a new Vitim 4×4 multi-purpose amphibious armoured vehicle at the 8th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment «MILEX-2017».

An unusual feature of the Vitim is that it can be prepared for amphibious operations in less than 10 minutes, after which it is then propelled in the water by its wheels at a maximum speed of up to 5 km/h.

According to Dmitry Kovalenko, the chief of the KO “Minotor-Service”, the armoured vehicle is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox and a diesel engine YaMZ. The fuel consumption is about 20 l / 100 km. The vehicle’s 215-hp turbocharged diesel engine generates a top speed of 125 km/h, and a range of 800 km.

The Vitim 4×4 armoured vehicle has a monocoque V-shaped hull and is designed for speed and manoeuvrability. The monocoque all-welded steel hull provides protection from 7.62 mm ammunition fired from a distance of 10 m.
