Six NATO warships arrive in Estonia

Six NATO warships belonging to two of the alliance’s standing maritime Immediate Reaction Forces arrived in Tallinn on a planned port visit on Friday.

That was reported by news.err.ee

The ship will take part in various exercises and events, stock up on supplies and allow crew members an opportunity to rest.

Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG1), led since last June by Estonian Navy Cmdr. Johan-Elias Seljamaa, currently consists of four minehunters: Estonia’s EML Wambola (M311), which is currently serving as the group’s flagship, Norway’s HNoMS Hinnøy (M343), the U.K.’s HMS Ramsey (M110) and Belgium’s BNS Primula (M924).

Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) , led by Royal Norwegian Navy Commodore Ole Morten Sandquist, currently consists of two ships: the flagship HNoMS Roald Amundsen (F-311) of Norway and HNLMS Evertsen (F805) of the Netherlands.
