New Russian transport aircraft is expected to make its maiden flight in July 1

The new Russian Il-112 light military transport aircraft was put to the final assembly line in Voronezh.

The Ilyushin Il-112 aircraft was developed by JSC “Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company” (part of United Aircraft Corporation). It is expected to make its maiden flight on July 1 and begin test flights.

“IL-112 will be in demand for the military, and civilian. He’s developing in record time. The task of the president to raise it in the summer. In the plane everything is new. Prior to July 1, all work on the” IL “must be completed to ensure a safe flight to 1 July, “- Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said.

Light military transport aircraft Il-112V is designed for transporting and parachuting of light weaponry and equipment, cargoes and military personnel, as well as for transporting a wide variety of cargoes when operated in commercial service.

It is capable of auto landing approaches to categorized aerodromes (minimum requirement being ICAO category II) and manual landing approaches to aerodromes poorly equipped with, or having no radio technical equipment.
