Iran successfully test-fires Sayyad surface-to-air missile

The Iranian Air Defense on Wednesday successfully test-fired its newly developed Sayyad-3 surface-to-air missile during large-scale military exercise, codenamed Defenders of Velayat Skies 7.

The new Sayyad-3 (Hunter-3) surface-to-air missile capable of intercepting targets within a range of 150 kilometers and in high altitudes. The Sayyad-3 missiles which would be able to destroy cruise missiles, bombers, drones and helicopters at medium range.

On Wednesday, the Iranian forces carried out the first operational test of Sayyad-3 (Hunter-3) missiles by Talash (Struggle) homegrown system to hit high-altitude targets, Tasnim news agency reported.

Also Iranian developed a most long range missile look like Russian 48N6E missile named Sayyad-4. No formal information announced about this missile but it appears from new photos that Sayyad-4 is like above Russian missile only in frontal parts and is similar to Sayyad-3 in wings and control surfaces shape.
