In June 2015, Antonov announced that it had signed an agreement, along with Taqnia, Ukraine’s UkrNII AT “Altis Holding”, and Germany’s Broetje-Automation to establish a manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia as part of the offset requirements for the programme.

According to Antonov, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in late 2015 to sell at least six An-132 platforms to Saudi Arabia, four of which will be used for search-and-rescue operations, and two for electronic warfare.
