New Multitarn patterns for the Bundeswehr

According to the German web resource augengeradeaus.net, Research Institute of materials and property of the Bundeswehr (Wehrwissenschaftliche Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe – WIWeB) has developed a new security pattern camouflage uniforms Multitarn for the German army.

German Defense Ministry has not yet issued a formal decision on the adoption of Multitarn for camouflage uniforms of the Bundeswehr. If approved, the first new camouflage uniforms would have to get a part of the special-purpose, then it will be extended to the entire Bundeswehr.

New camouflage intended to replace the Bundeswehr used for a long time camo Flecktarn, exists in two versions – a five-color and tri-color. Unlike Flecktarn, camouflage Multitarn will be produced in a single color, suitable as it is considered for all geographical conditions. An important innovation Multitarn claimed the best camouflage properties in the near infrared range (700 to 1200 nm), the most used in night vision devices.
