ST Kinetics has displayed its progress to date on an advanced soldier system

ST Kinetics has displayed its progress to date on an advanced soldier system at the Singapore Airshow, one of the most complete exhibited to date in the region.

While most components of the Singaporean company’s Army Individual Eco-Lightweight Equipment (ARIELE) suite are mature, some continue to be developed.

Winston Toh, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at ST Kinetics, said ARIELE is designed for a universal audience rather than for the Singapore Armed Forces in particular.

The company stated: ‘ST Kinetics is looking to revolutionise the effectiveness of the individual soldier in the battlefield with innovative engineering by reducing an individual soldier’s load while increasing his personal armour protection.’

ARIELE includes eyewear, ballistic protection, body cooler, load-carrying vest, fuel cell, a weapon and energy harvester.
