Singapore’s Air Forces continue training in US

PKL Services Inc. has been awarded a USD10 million as part of its Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract to continued F-15SG fighter aircraft maintenance and operations training for Singapore’s fighter training squadron based at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

On 6 July,  the US Department of Defense (DoD) announced that California-based PKL Services, Inc. has been awarded a USD10,236,530 firm-fixed-price contract, for military aircraft, F-15SG, maintenance and operations training.

The new contract is part of a continuation of FMS awards that began in 2012 with a five-year, USD51 million contracts also awarded to PKL.

This contract provides for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) training on F-15 multi-role fighter aircraft developed by Boeing. and includes both maintenance and operations on the F-15 aircraft. Work will be performed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

This award is the result of ties are grounded in historical cooperation between U.S. and Singapore, common interests and shared perspectives.

” Enhanced relations among Pacific nations allows the U.S. to reiterate the common goal of promoting peace and stability in the region,” – noted representatives of the US Department of Defense.

It is also worth noting that the F-15SG is a special variant produced for the Republic of Singapore and is the one of the newest and hottest F-15 version to date. According to airforce-technology.com, it is an advanced variant of the US Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle. The aircraft can perform air-to-air and air-to-ground attack missions in all weather conditions.
