Chinese marine corps carries out 5,900 km maneuver in Jan, longest distance in its history

China’s marine corps based in Sanya has carried out its first long-distance maneuver in 2016 since early January.

Combat equipment and thousands of special force soldiers were transported from their bases to a training base in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China by road, air, rail and waterways.

The 5,900-kilometer maneuver is the one with the longest distance and largest time-span in the history of the marine corps.
