Azerbaijan demonstrate for the first time it’s Hermes 900 capability

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic for the first time displayed a number of new weapons and vehicles at tactical exercises in the Caspian Sea from 11 to 14 August.

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic has released video footage demonstrating a capability of the country’s Hermes 900 multi-role MALE unmanned aircraft system. According to the video information, the shooting image was shot from 5030 meters above the Hermes 900 tactical UAS.

The Hermes 900 is an Israeli medium size multi-payload unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed by Elbit Systems for medium altitude long endurance (MALE) tactical missions. It features over-the-horizon, persistent multi-mission, multi-payload capabilities with a class-leading payload carrying capacity of 350 kg. Hermes 900 is capable of performing missions for area dominance and persistent ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance).
