Russian Army receives new batch of BMD-4M, BMP-3 vehicles

Russia’s state-owned industrial conglomerate, Rostec, has announced the delivery of a new batch of BMD-4M airborne infantry fighting vehicles and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Russian military.

This latest delivery was completed by Kurganmashzavod, a subsidiary of Rostec, in accordance with the Ministry of Defense’s schedule.

“Rostec is meeting the Ministry of Defense’s timelines for these deliveries. Additionally, we are sending refurbished BMD-2 vehicles ahead of schedule,” the company stated.

Both the BMD-4M and BMP-3 are equipped with enhanced protective features, including standard armor and grid screens, which significantly improve the vehicles’ survivability in combat. The additional protective gear is supplied with the vehicles and can be quickly installed by military units, allowing for efficient transportation on standard cargo platforms.

The BMD-4M and BMP-3 vehicles are known for their mobility, firepower, and protection capabilities, making them crucial assets for the Russian armed forces. The BMP-3, with its advanced armament and amphibious capabilities, continues to be a cornerstone of Russia’s infantry fighting vehicle fleet. Meanwhile, the BMD-4M offers enhanced airborne operational capabilities, allowing for rapid deployment and support in various combat scenarios.
