DHC-6 Twin Otter of Peru Air Force makes emergency landing at Iquitos Airport

The DHC-6 Twin Otter Short Takeoff and Landing utility aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada made a forced landing at Iquitos Airport (IQT), Peru and suffered a runway excursion.

There were no personal injuries.

The DHC-6 Twin Otter’s crew did not declare an emergency until just minutes before they were due to land.

The aircraft belonged to Peru Air Force. The Peru Air Force received 12 DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400
