Paramount Group to Unveil Mwari Light Multirole Aircraft at IDEX 2017

Paramount Group is expected to unveil its new Mwari light multirole aircraft at IDEX 2017 defence and security exhibition.

According to Paramount Group, the Mwari is developed to combine the features of a helicopter and reconnaissance plane, the Mwari offers low acquisition cost, as well as a reduced requirement for maintenance support. Duties include surveillance, policing, patrol, counter insurgency operations, disaster relief and intelligence gathering.

The Mwari project was unveiled in May 2016. Paramount and Boeing made a cooperation agreement in September 2014 for collaborating on specific projects to be implemented in future. The agreement was extended in May 2016 to jointly develop an advanced mission system for the Mwari aircraft.
