VOLAT showcases series of highly unified chassis and armoured vehicles at MILEX 2017

Volat (brand of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant Open Joint Stock Company), a company specialising in the design and development of special military vehicles, has showcased its latest series of highly unified chassis and armoured vehicles at the MILEX 2017 exhibition.

VOLAT showcased  the series of highly unified chassis MZKT-6001 with wheel drive 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8, the truck tractor MZKT-74296 and the light armoured vehicle MZKT-490100.

The MZKT-490100 or also called Volat V1 is a light armoured vehicle with the wheel drive 4×4, hydromechanical transmission and the gross vehicle weight 11,000 kg. It was designed as a base product for specialized tactical vehicles development and can be used for all types of roads as APC, C2, reconnaissance, military police, logistics and ambulance vehicle.

The MZKT-600103 (6×6) and MZKT-600203 (8×8) is a series chassis with Caterpillar С13 engine, Allison 4500SP hydromechanical transmission and the curb vehicle weight 14000 and 17,000 kg accordingly are the newest tactical vehicles from the MZKT-6001 series.

The MZKT-74296 is a truck tractor with 8×8 axle configuration, which is designed to carry large heavy cargo  of total weight up to 56 tons.  The main change is the equipment of the tractor cab with metal framing by Volat production. Two-row cabin is equipped with two beds, heater, and air conditioning. This new cabin can be comfortably and safely accommodated by the team of7 people. An important advantage is the possibility to equip the cabin with protective armor plates.
