Ukrainian company unveils SPARROW LE unmanned aerial vehicle

Ukrainian «SPAITECH SPE», LLC private enterprise has showcased its latest unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) during a presentation for the Ukrainian Navy at an airfield near Odessa. 

According to the dumskaya.net, the «SPAITECH SPE» has unveiled the new UAV include SPARROW LE. The SPARROW LE is a designed in an aerodynamic normal scheme with a V-shaped tail that ensures a long flight endurance and energy source cost-benefits at combat application.

The SPARROW LE is designed for aerial surveillance at day and night. Various payload permits to transform the UAV into radio relay system, into a radiochemical detector and so on. The UAV has a wingspan of 3 m, features the electric engine and to have a maximum take-off weight of 7 kg.

According to media reports, the SPARROW LE set three Ukrainian records for UAV altitude, duration, and range of flight. The drone easily rises to a five-kilometer height. The UAV’s kit, including a protected notebook base and antenna, weighs 17 kg, and two people are needed to work with it.

–  Cruise speed 60-110 km/hour

–  Startup Method by hand
–  Method of landing on a parachute or by-air

This three-kilogram aircraft can be in the air for an hour and a half and fly at a speed of 100 km per hour. The systems used protected digital channel for data transfer according to NATO standards.

«SPAITECH SPE», LLC hope that these UAVs will soon undergo production testing by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
