Azerbaijan Develops New 82mm Caliber Self-propelled Mortar System

National Aerospace Agency (NAA) of the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan works on the designing mobile mortar complex.

That was reported by azeridefence.com.

According to him, 82 mm caliber automatic mortar complex will be mounted on the “Gurza” vehicle chassis.

“According to the order of the Ministry, we were tasked to design 82 mm caliber self-propelled, handled mortar system on the basis of “Gurza” vehicle. We started researches in this matter”, – general director told.

Note, that there are 4 configurations of “Gurza” vehicle which was firstly introduced in late 2012.
