Israeli firms launch precision tool for drone defenses

Sentrycs, an established developer of protocol manipulation-based counter-drone technology, and Omnisys, a specialist in mission optimization systems for defense and homeland security, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at improving how sensors are deployed across complex operational environments.

According to a joint statement, the collaboration brings together Sentrycs’ passive drone detection and mitigation capabilities with Omnisys’ BRO-AD (Battle Resource Optimization for Air Defense) platform. Together, the systems aim to give defense planners a more accurate and efficient way to model and position sensor networks by accounting for real-world variables such as terrain, electromagnetic interference, and anticipated threat paths.

“Together with Omnisys, we are offering a smarter, more adaptive approach to systems’ deployments in real-world conditions,” said Meir Avidan, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Sentrycs. “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering operationally relevant solutions that meet today’s evolving security challenges.”

The BRO-AD platform models operational environments to identify coverage gaps and potential blind spots. When paired with Sentrycs’ counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) technology, the combined approach helps users optimize sensor layouts for maximum effect while limiting redundant deployments, the companies said.

Sentrycs’ solutions use a technique referred to as “Cyber over RF” to detect, identify, and mitigate unauthorized drones. Its systems are designed to operate passively without emitting signals that could reveal the presence of the defense network. The company serves customers globally, including in sensitive areas such as borders, airports, and mass events.

Omnisys, known for providing software solutions that support mission planning and resource allocation for air defense missions, said the integration is designed to improve decision-making and deployment outcomes across operational theaters.

“By integrating BRO-AD’s powerful modeling capabilities with Sentrycs’ counter-drone systems, we’re helping customers plan and execute sensor deployments with greater accuracy, efficiency, and mission success,” said Dov Pearl, Chief Business Officer at Omnisys.

The companies emphasized that the combined solution is tailored to defense and homeland security users who must manage growing demands on airspace awareness and drone defense. The partnership reflects a broader trend in the sector toward system interoperability and optimized resource use under constrained operational conditions.

Founded in 2017, Sentrycs has offices in Israel and the United States and supports deployments in both civilian and defense contexts. The company’s focus on protocol manipulation—a method of engaging directly with drone command signals—places it within a small group of vendors offering advanced electronic countermeasures without physical or kinetic engagement.

Sentrycs and Omnisys say their joint offering is intended to help military and homeland security forces better prepare for complex engagements where the margin for error is shrinking and the need for adaptive deployment is rising.
