Eureka Naval Craft, a newly established U.S.-based maritime and defense innovation company, has announced the launch of its next-generation naval defense and coast guard vessels.
The company aims to reshape modern naval operations with cutting-edge Surface Effect Ship (SES) technology developed in collaboration with ESNA Naval Architect. The vessels are designed for a variety of critical missions, including patrol, interdiction, reconnaissance, and attack.
“Eureka’s vision is to provide flexible, high-speed vessels capable of defending vital infrastructure and conducting essential naval missions in contested waters,” the company press release said. This technology, derived from the offshore energy sector, allows for multi-role applications in a variety of operational environments, further enhancing mission versatility.
The vessels’ modular systems, developed with leading defense Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), offer advanced defense capabilities, protecting against threats from the surface, air, and underwater. With agility and resilience, Eureka’s designs are equipped to respond effectively in high-risk naval engagements.
Among the flagship vessels in the Eureka fleet are:
- AIRCAT Bengal (36m) – A versatile vessel for patrol, interdiction, reconnaissance, attack, air defense, and logistical operations. The Bengal also supports medical evacuations, proving essential in high-threat environments.
- AIRCAT Lynx (36m) – Tailored for coast guard operations, border patrol, and fisheries protection, the Lynx offers a comprehensive security solution for territorial waters.
- AIRCAT Jaguar (17.5m) – A landing craft vehicle personnel improved (LCVP(I)), designed for amphibious missions, beach landings, and self-recovery operations.
- AIRCAT Panther (17.5m) – An autonomous surface vessel (ASV) capable of operating remotely, enhancing modern naval operational flexibility.
Eureka’s vessels are engineered to operate from amphibious landing ship well decks and can conduct beach landings. The platform’s modular design also enables remote unmanned operations, further expanding the tactical utility of these vessels.
The vessels will be showcased at the EURONAVAL conference in Paris from November 4-7, where Eureka Naval Craft aims to attract attention from global defense sectors.
