Chinese troops arrive in Belarus

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus has announced the arrival of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers from China.

These troops will participate in a joint anti-terrorism exercise scheduled to take place from July 8 to July 19 near Brest, Belarus.

The Ministry of National Defense of China also confirmed the joint army training, emphasizing that it is part of this year’s planned activities and a mutual agreement between the two countries. The training will focus on counter-terrorism operations, highlighting the cooperation between the Chinese and Belarusian armed forces.

According to the Chinese defense ministry, the joint exercises will include mixed-team training exercises where soldiers from both nations will engage in hostage rescue operations and other counter-terrorism missions. The objective is to enhance the training levels and coordination capabilities of the participating troops and to deepen practical cooperation between the armies of China and Belarus.

“The training aims to improve the operational readiness and coordination skills of our forces, ensuring they can effectively respond to terrorist threats,” a spokesperson from the Chinese Ministry of National Defense stated. “Through these exercises, we aim to foster stronger military ties and mutual understanding between our nations.”
