What is the Innovations Development Platform and what purpose was it established for?

On April 6^th, 2017 in the Innovation Park UNIT.City (Ukraine, Kyiv) began to operate the Innovations Development Platform – an agency for incubation and implementation of innovative projects in the field of defense technologies.

The Platform is the agency with the resources, expertize and infrastructure for:

• search, selection and evaluation of projects
• developers, project managers and investors teams formation for specific tasks
• support in constructing prototypes and launching serial production
• attraction of financing for construction of prototypes and launch of serial production
• army deployment of end-products
• domestic and international products marketing.

Since the establishment, the Agency substantially extended its partner network of domestic and foreign investors, number of them are providing financing of developments in radiolocation, hydro acoustic systems, target acquisition and battle management systems, and other promising areas.

To date the Platform gathered a quite extended set of innovative projects that includes, so far, 120 projects, with 40 projects in the phase of completed analysis and 18 projects in the phase of technical review or in the implementation phase.

As for projects, implemented by the Platform, the following can be outlined – tactical unmanned aerial vehicles “SPARROW” and “ANSER”, unmanned tactical vehicle «FANTOM» and combat module “TAYPAN”.

Recently, the Agency announced the advancement of the team on one of its promising developments, namely, the transition to the stage of prototype creation. This is a new generation of helmet-mounted system LimpidArmor, which is designed for use in military heavy armored vehicles.
