STREIT Group to relaunch family of Cougar light armored personnel carriers

STREIT Group announced that the company came up with relaunch of its family of Cougar light armored personnel carriers with all new design, advanced protection and additional options that caters the need of recent threats.

In recent times, security situations in 2016 all over Africa and Middle-East region has been observed with growing threats and vulnerability of soldiers, who are putting their lives in danger either on border or inside the country while dealing with some rapid action at some terror attack or some search operation within urban areas. They always need reliable, secure yet mechanically operable vehicle with locally available parts and maintenance network.

Such vehicles are always best option in compact size LAMV (Light Armored Multipurpose Vehicle) especially for African and Middle Eastern region.

All new Cougar 2 – LAMV have all new suspension and engine upgrade with seating capacity of 10 personnel including driver and commander. It is lighter in weight that affects mobility. It has ground clearance of 235mm to avoid obstacles while in operation with well modified angle of approaching and departure. This vehicle shall be available in both Left and Right hand drive terrain. Cougar shall be the best fit for Police operations, border control, airport security or anti – terrorism operations.

It will be available not only as APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) but also useful as Armored Ambulance. With successful re-launch of all new designed Cougar – LAMV, STREIT Group is already in process of manufacturing over 100 units to be delivered by mid of 2017 in the Middle East.
