Singapore put its new Elta Systems Multi-Mission Radar

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) put its new Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) Elta Systems radar through its paces at the recent Exercise Cope Tiger.

The EL/M-2084 S-band unit, known as the Multi-Mission Radar (MMR) in RSAF service, was revealed for the first time in the multilateral exercise between Singapore, Thailand and the US.

The EL/M-2084 Multi Mission Radar (MMR) 3D AESA is the radar sensor unit of the SPYDER-MR. The EL/M-2084 operates in the S-band. It can process up to 1100 targets when in air surveillance mode and also detects targets located 250 km away. When the radar is static, it covers 120° in the azimuth.
