S-400 Triumph crews were put in combat duty in Western Siberia

S-400 Triumph of the Central MD air defence formation were put in combat duty service in Western Siberia.

Last December, S-400 air defence system crews of the Novosibirsk formation passed retraining courses and performed training firing at the Astrakhan range.

The complexes are designed for high-effective engagement of strategic and tactic aviation, ballistic missiles, hypersonic targets and other attack aerial means.

The system is capable to engage aerodynamic targets at the distance of up to 400 kilometers as well as ballistic targets, which are moving at the speed of up to 4.8 km/s at the altitude of several meters and up to dozens of kilometrs at the distance of up to 60 kilometers.
