Polish military orders 79 Poprad self-propelled surface-to-air missile system

The Polish Army has awarded a US $273 million contract to PIT-RADWAR to supply 79 Poprad self-propelled surface-to-air missile systems.

The deal stipulates that the company will supply the army with 77 POPRAD systems and will upgrade two others that had been delivered earlier.

The weaponry will be equipped with short-range rockets, Grom and Piorun.

POPRAD is a short-range anti-aircraft system capable of destroying air targets at low and mid altitudes, using homing guidance missiles.
