President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko handed armament and military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Today we sent to the frontline another batch of 141 items of armament and military equipment, which were produced or modernized at the defense industry facilities. I am confident that you, our officers and soldiers, will use this armament and materiel most effectively”, Petro Poroshenko said handing the armament and military equipment to the servicemen during the working travel to Kharkiv oblast.
The Head of State noted that he was pleased to hear from the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko, who had just returned from the frontline, that the Ukrainian forces show both powerful discipline and strong morale and are ready to stop the enemy at the contact line.
The President handed to the Armed Forces and National Guard units’ commanders the certificates for 141 items of armament and military equipment. The servicemen get BTRs, BMPs, mobile control and intelligence centers, self-propelled howitzers, self-propelled anti-aircraft mounts, anti-aircraft missile systems, multiple rocket launchers, tanks, radio stations, Mi-8 helicopter, MIG-29 and SU-27 fighters, new expanded mobility trucks and other items.
After the official ceremony Petro Poroshenko viewed the handed items of materiel and firing from T-64BV tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, BTR-80 and BTR-3DA armored personnel carriers and ZSU-23-4 self-propelled anti-aircraft mount.
