Russian reconnaissance formations will receive Typhoon-K armored vehicles

More than 15 Typhoon-K newest armored vehicles will be introduced in the Western Military District reconnaissance formation located in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The armored vehicles are designed to secure columns, actions in urban conditions, transporting of special cargos and personnel.

The Typhoon-K  is a family of Russian multi-functional, modular, armoured, mine resistant MRAP vehicles. The Typhoon family is part of Russia’s Typhoon program.

The vehicle can move across country with the speed of up to 100 km/h. Its endurance distance is up to 1,500 km.

Armored capsule of the vehicle is capable to absorb a 30mm shell hits may contain 16 servicemen and several tons of cargos.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has already received 70 Typhoon newest armored vehicles.
