Russian army has received a batch of REM-KL newest evacuation vehicles

Eastern Russian Military District army, which had been located in the Amur River region, has received the first batch of REM-KL newest evacuation vehicles mounted on URAL-5323623 track.

The vehicle is designed to repair military hardware, assist drivers in maintenance service and evacuation of the army multidimensional automotive hardware and armaments with total weight of not more than 16 tons.

REM-KL vehicles exceed their predecessors in high cross-country mobility, more powerful and unified equipment allowing to evacuate or repair broken hardware in field conditions.

The REM-KL is based on URAL-5323623 8×8 truck chassis. It is fitted with a hydraulic crane, recovery winch, towing device, workshop shelter with various tools.

Also it has a cargo platform at the rear and can transport various loads and spare parts, such as spare engine or spare wheels. Vehicle itself has a payload capacity of 15 000 kg. The REM-KL can recover and tow vehicles with a maximum weight of 12 000 kg to 22 000 kg, depending on the towing type.
