Here Kupol presents air defence missile systems of the newest generation such as: Tor-M2K on the wheeled chassis, Tor-M2E on the tracked chassis and Tor-M2KM of modular design both stationary and  on semitrailer.

Their performance characteristics are completely the same except for chassis: SAMS Tor-M2E on the tracked chassis has higher cross-country capability, the wheeled version of SAMS Tor-M2K is more attractive for countries where highway network is developed well and natural coatings are hard, the modular Tor-M2KM can be installed on different kinds of chassis of proper capacity. Such variety allows any customer to make self-selection.

Tor family SAMS have already demonstrated great results while operating under complicated jamming environment as well as in various challenging terrain and weather conditions.

Tor family SAM systems are proving repeatedly high reliability and combat characteristics by results of firing and different trials. Such as in September 2015 at the Russian Defence Ministry firing range there were held successful firing trials where for the first time ever the SAM Tor combat vehicle mounted on the tracked chassis performed firing on move on the real air target that none of SAM systems can do nowadays.

The recipe of success lies in the fact that having achieved such high results you shouldn’t stop because nowadays the attack means are being developed extensively that makes constantly growing requirements to protection means. SAMS ability to engage several targets simultaneously is the main factor for fighting against massive air strikes of UAVs which employment becomes one of tactical options of contemporary combat actions. In due course assigned are the new tasks generating the need for updating the current air defence means or creating new ones.

The present day the systems of the Tor family take the leading positions among similar short range surface-to-air missile systems in the world.

To have a look at AD newest samples as well as take experts’ opinion is possible from March 29 to April 3, 2016 at booth D71 in the airport Aeropuerto Internacional Arturo Merino Benítez, Santiago, Chile.
