The Armed Forces of Belarus have received the first Cayman 4×4 light armoured reconnaissance vehicle on 15 February.
According to national TV, the 103th airborne brigade of special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus officially accepts its first nine Cayman light armoured vehicles.
The Cayman is a new Belarus-made 4×4 armoured reconnaissance vehicle developed on BRDM-2 base by JSC ‘140 repair plant’. It features an unconventional layout with crew cab at forward, troop compartment in the middle and power-plant at the rear.

Dimensions of the Cayman is 6m x 2.82m x 2.07m and it has a gross weight of 8,000 kg. The wheel track is 2,400 mm and wheelbase is 3,100 mm.
The Caiman is motorized with a diesel engine developing 170 hp. coupled to a five speed manual gearbox.
Similarly, some Cayman armoured reconnaissance vehicles were delivery to Cote d’Ivoire in 2018. Cote d’Ivoire became the first known export user of Cayman armored vehicle.
