Ukrainian company to unveil hybrid multi-purpose drone at UMEX 2018

Ukrainian research and production company Matrix UAV is set to unveil its new hybrid multi-purpose drone with the module of high-precision dumping of the combat payload at the Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference (UMEX 2018) in Abu Dhabi.

According to company specifications, the new hybrid multi-purpose drone called the  Chimera-H is designed for reconnaissance and monitoring of roads, borders, forests, and waterways and now it can be also used for dropped different versions of the bombs, beacons, transponders.

Chimera-H is a multi-purpose multi-rotor platform.  The new drone has a forward speed of 14 m/s and an operational ceiling of 1,500 meters with a flight endurance in excess of 2 hours (depending on the weight of the payload). The drone powered by combustion engine hybrid propulsion unit is able to give it an operation range of one hundred fifty kilometers.

Chimera-H multi-rotor platform can deliver different cargoes: medical, military or commercial ones. Depending on a given task, the drone can be equipped with day or night-vision devices, laser searchlight, retransmission station, detector, obstacle detector, jettison device etc.
