The Ukrainian Armor, a Kyiv-based armoured vehicle manufacturer, unveiled a new wheeled armoured personnel carrier, the Varta-Novator.
The Varta-Novator 4×4 armoured carrier was presented in the National Guard of Ukraine on 15 December. Representatives of the State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine also attended the presentation.

The Varta-Novator is a specialized armored vehicle developed for surveillance and reconnaissance, border patrolling, special missions, and medical evacuation.
The Varta-Novator armoured vehicle is based on a Ford F550 chassis to accomodate up to five equipped soldiers. The specialized armored vehicle has a length of 5.80 m, a width of 2.405 m and a height of 2.164 m for a gross vehicle weight of 9,000 kg, including a payload capacity of up to 1,000 kg.

The vehicle is powered by a 6,7l turbo diesel engine, with 300 hp of output. This will provide the vehicle with a maximum speed of 120 km/h and an operational range of 700 km thanks to the 160l fuel tank capacity.
The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel-General Yuriy Allerov evaluated the high performance of the car during the test drive.
