U.S. Marine Corps F-35B stealth fighters arrived at RAF Marham

Around 10 U.S. U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II Joint Strike fighter aircraft arrived at Royal Air Force Station Mahram, United Kingdom (UK) on the evening of 3 September 2020. 

Marines with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing conducted a transatlantic flight F-35B Lightning II fighters to Royal Air Force Station Marham.

RAF Marham is the home of the British F-35 Lightning a 5th Generation, multi-role, stealth fighter.

The Station is also home to a range of engineering support functions from maintenance to frontline support. Over 3600 Service Personnel, civil servants and contractors work at RAF Marham.

The Marines and Machines of the “Wake Island Avengers” arrived at Royal Air Force Station Mahram for a deployment for training with UK’s Squadron 617.

The training is in preparation for next year’s historic deployment of VMFA-211 onto the HMS Queen Elizabeth in support of its inaugural, global deployment.
