U.S. Army fighting vehicles arrives in Georgia

After days of travel across the Black Sea, U.S. Army set equipment and Soldiers have arrived in Georgia, according to the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

On Sunday, the Ministry press release said that U.S. combat vehicles, included Strykers, have arrived in the 2nd Infantry Brigade from Poti before leaving to Vaziani Training Area to join Georgian, UK, French and Polish troops at Noble Partner 20 multinational exercise.

Noble Partner 20, in its fifth iteration, is spearheaded by Georgian Defense Forces and the U.S. Army which focuses on realistic training environments including convoy operations, helicopter attack and medical evacuation scenarios and a live fire exercise.

Exercise Noble Partner is designed to enhance regional partnerships and increase U.S. force readiness and interoperability in a realistic, multinational training environment.

The exercise allows participants to conduct situational training exercises, live-fire exercises and combined mechanized maneuvers. The 4th Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment (Sabers) will lead the exercise for 2d Cavalry Regiment.
