The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) of Taiwan has unveiled its new anti-radiation loitering munition system or anti-radiation missile at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE 2017).

The new loitering munition system detects, attacks and destroys enemy radar emitters, hitting them with high hit accuracy. The suicide drone is a “Fire-and-Forget” all-weather, day/night autonomous weapon system, launched from a ground vehicle behind the battle zone. It has a maximum speed 185 km/h and its range is near 300 km.

The new Taiwan’s anti-radiation loitering munition system is a near-copy of the Israel Aerospace Industries Harpy system.
