Tadalafil in the Therapy of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Array

Modern medicine offers a fairly large number of drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), but it is noteworthy that only one of them, namely Cialis, is approved for use in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This, without a doubt, pleases both the manufacturer of the branded Cialis, the American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, and numerous manufacturers of generic Cialis. After all, there is essentially no competition! Even Cialis got the approval of FDA for treatment of BPH only in 2012, ten years after it was registered as a means for combating erectile dysfunction symptoms.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is very often, one might say, in most cases, combined with erectile dysfunction. This occurs because the enlarged prostate gland becomes inflamed, blood flow in the pelvic area is disturbed, and congestive phenomenon is observed. In addition, BPH often results from prostatitis, which is also extremely dangerous for male potency. Cialis can be used for BPH either alone or as part of a combination therapy. An urologist must approve a more accurate treatment regimen after a detailed medical examination, which may include ultrasound examination, blood tests, etc. However, as a rule, self-administration of Cialis does not cause any negative effect on the body.

In most cases, with BPH (which is also known as prostate adenoma), Cialis is prescribed on a daily basis at the same time of day at a dosage of 5 mg, in severe cases – 10 mg. The maximum dosage, which is 20 mg, is rarely used when taking Cialis on a daily basis. The use of Cialis every day is convenient both from the point of view of sexual intercourse, since a man is ready for it at any time of the day, and from the point of view of ease of use. Taking a pill every day, it is more difficult to miss a dose, forget about the medication, than if it is used only from time to time. The only drawback in this situation is the high cost of branded Cialis, because the price of one tablet can reach $25 or even more. However, there is a way out of this situation, and it is especially convenient if Tadalafil needs to be taken on an ongoing basis. Cialis has many generics, they act in the same way as a branded drug, and are identical in composition (for the main active ingredient), and you can buy a cheap generic Cialis https://sstarnet.org/medicine-generic-tadalafil/ at an average price of $1.5 per tablet. At the same time, a generic drug usually costs the buyer the cheaper, the more pills he buys at one time. So don’t be afraid of long courses of BPH treatment, especially since Tadalafil helps to normalize blood circulation not only in the prostate, but also in the penis.
