Syria’s military develops new weapon station against drones

The Syrian scientific researchers developed the new weapon station against drones. The new weapon system will give protection against threats such as drones or infantry.

The Syrian weapon station is currently armed with a 12.7 mm belt-fed machine gun (MG) and 90 mm Osa anti-tank missile. The weapon station’s sensor pod is mounted on the center side and consists of an electro-optical system and thermal imaging night camera.

The system is able to keep watching an overland or aerial target automatically. The weapon is laid onto the target using a flat panel display and associated controls.
