STC Delta unveils new armoured multi-role vehicle

Scientific-Technical Center “DELTA” (located in Tbilisi, Georgia) has unveiled new variant of its Didgori armoured multi-role vehicle during celebrated Independence Day and the 100th anniversary of the creation of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia in 1918.

On May 26, 2018, at an exhibition on Freedom Square in Tbilisi as part of a celebration of the 100th 100th anniversary of Georgia’s independence, for the first time was unveiled a new “pick-and-pop” version of the famous Georgian armored vehicle Didgori with the wheel arrangement 4×4 produced by the state military scientific and technical center “Delta” of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

It is reported that this version of Didgori is developing on the basis of the armored medical evacuation machine AMEV based on the construction of the armored vehicle Didgori 2.

The base of the vehicle is manufactured from the layer of armored steel – while the protection level is further enhanced by an add on armor panels – which can be easily removed or replaced – for replacement of damaged panes, upgrade/downgrade of vehicle protection level Etc.

Armor plates provide protection from 7,62 caliber armor-piercing bullets shoot from near distance and artillery shell fragments.

The new variant of the Didgori armored vehicle is designed mainly for reconnaissance and patrolling, has a capacity of five people and is equipped with a cargo compartment at the rear.
