Singapore’s defence company unveiled the newest addition to the Bronco family at DSEI 2017 in London.
The new variant of Bronco 3 is equipped with the company’s 120-mm Super Rapid Advanced Mortar System (SRAMS) mortar system and ELM-2138M Green Rock autonomous tactical counter Rocket, Artillery & Mortar (C-RAM) system developed by Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd.
The C-RAM system provides a complete low/high trajectory target, real-time intelligence and rapid response solution for tactical forces. Green Rock’s mission is to locate fire squad positions, distribute selective warning alarms and enable an effective fire response.
Actual protection levels for Bronco 3 remain classified beyond basic hull protection of up to Level 4 ballistic. However, both modules have been redesigned and now feature blast deflecting V-shaped hulls suspended from a redesigned and stiffened chassis by four rubber isolators.
The vehicle has a maximum speed of 65 km/h on road and 4 km/h in water while the range on roads is 400 km.
