ST Engineering showcases next-generation armoured fighting vehicle at Singapore Airshow 2018

Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) showcased its next-generation armoured fighting vehicle at the Singapore Airshow 2018.

The ST Engineering has made international debut of its next-generation armoured fighting vehicle also called NGAFV at the Singapore Airshow 2018.

The NGAFV is an advanced platform which will provide our armoured troops with enhanced protection and firepower. The vehicle measures 6.9 m long, 3.28 m wide, and has an overall height of 3.2 m. The vehicle, operated by a three-man team, can also carry eight soldiers and reach speeds of up to 70kmh, with a range of 500km.

The next-generation armoured fighting vehicles engine, having a power to weight ratio of 24.5hp/t, offers increased maneuverability and high performance.

According to the company, the NGAFV will replace the Ultra M113 AFV as a key component of the Singapore Armed Forces’ mechanised forces. Delivery of the new fighting vehicles will begin in 2019.
