SHARK Robotics develops new heavy unmanned ground vehicle

The French company SHARK Robotics is developing a new heavy unmanned ground vehicle.

According to Managing Director and R&D at SHARK GROUP, Jean-Jacques Topalian, the company is investing in developing new ROBOT XR1M project to develop a heavy modular unmanned ground platform.

The new vehicle will have 2800mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1000mm in height without equipment. The XR1M will be fully electric, will have a maximum speed of 8 km/h.

The XR1M unmanned ground vehicle will be equipped with  4 tracks borrowed from the COLOSSUS drone (also developed by SHARK Robotics), will each include a motor of 6 KW, and will be fully articulated. The vehicle will weigh 1200 kg.

The new  XR1M unmanned ground vehicle will be unveiled during upcoming Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.
