Russia’s Ka-52 combat helicopters to participate in Independence Day parade in Belarus

The Russian Ka-52 combat helicopters will participate in the July 3 Independence Day military parade in Minsk, Belarus.

On June 24, Ka-52 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces landed at the Machulishchi airfield. Helicopters of the Russian Armed Forces will participate in the Independence Day military parade in Minsk, which attests to the consistent development of military and technical cooperation between Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Also, Russian Su-27 jet fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers will be represented in the aerial part of the Independence Day parade.

The official Independence day is celebrated on July 3, on the day of liberation of the Belarusian capital from German invaders. Such decision was taken by the republican referendum held in 1996. Earlier the Independence day had been commemorated on July 27, its celebration being coincided with the day of passing the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1990.
